Shutting Down Our Link Directories

As of this morning we are shutting down our link directories articleweb.us, linkdir.us, and linkdir.org.

These directories were getting hammered with spam listings and were becoming impossible to sift through every day to find only one or two valid listings. We apologize to everyone who followed the rules and listed their great sites but once again the spammers ruin the day. HWC cannot afford to be listed as a spam directory as it would hurt search engine results to our other sites which are the lifeblood of the company.

I set up another link and article directory today, www.linkdir.org. It is modeled off www.linkdir.us and brings my ‘linkdir’ line of sites to an end unless I get another tld for that domain name. Next up are some’freelinkdir’ sites that I have lined up.
