Shutting Down Our Link Directories

As of this morning we are shutting down our link directories articleweb.us, linkdir.us, and linkdir.org.

These directories were getting hammered with spam listings and were becoming impossible to sift through every day to find only one or two valid listings. We apologize to everyone who followed the rules and listed their great sites but once again the spammers ruin the day. HWC cannot afford to be listed as a spam directory as it would hurt search engine results to our other sites which are the lifeblood of the company.

Sitemap Generator Software

One of the most important parts of SEO work is having a good, up-to-date sitemap that you can send to search engines on a regular basis. I have been using XML-Sitemaps.com’s unlimited XML, Text, HTML sitemap generator for about a year now. It is a very sturdy program that just runs through my cron jobs nightly without any issues at all, ever. New Hannigan Web Company Site

I decided to deploy a new site today, getting rid of the original, simple HTML coded site I threw up in the beginning. I incorporated the site with the blog using Wordpress. This way I was able to use Wordpress as a CMS and have a more organized, better looking website since there isn’t that much info to display anyway.

I am currently trying to get a friend of mine to help with the logo for the site and company. I am not the best at graphics but she is very good so I should get something cool out of it. Let me know what you think of the site.
